Dear Hampton Families:
Hampton Rotary is again sponsoring a visiting foreign exchange student for the entire school year to reside with 3 families in the Hampton School District. Last year, we hosted an 18 year old female student from Turkey who stayed with the Kolonay, Davis and Lenz families.
This year, we are hosting an 18 year old male student from Taiwan . He is:
Kevin (Chun-Chia) Huang ( DOB 4/23/1991)

He has 6 years of English. He is very interested in music and plays saxophone. In school, he is very interested in penmanship and electronics. His father runs a industrial instruments company and his mother is at home. He is easy going and likes pets. He prefers others to approach him.
Inbound international high school Rotary Youth Exchange (RYE) Students are hosted by 3 local families in the same school district during the academic year. Students typically arrive in late August or early September and depart after the end of school the following June. They attend high school full time and participate in Rotary sponsored events throughout the year.
Host Families:
(1) Do not need to be Rotarians
(2) Do not need to have children of their own
(3) Can have children of different ages then the RYE student
(4) Do not need to speak the language of the RYE student
(5) Need to provide counsel and parenting for the RYE student
(6) Treat the RYE student as a member of the family
If you are interested in being a host family, please contact me as shown below . The following time periods for hosting are available:
___ fall (arrival to early December)
___ mid year (early Dec. to mid March)
___ spring (mid March to departure in June after the end of school)
